- The El Diablo Water Slide – The now infamous “El Diablo” water slide is one of the new(er) attractions on the island located at our sister resort Caribbean Villas Hotel. This three story thrill ride will get your adrenaline pumping as you slide down & then become submerged in the beautiful aquamarine waters of the Caribbean. A one-time pass is just $2.50 U.S. or you can get a day pass for $12.50 U.S. The slide opens at 10:00am & closes at dusk. So whether you want to try it once, or spend the entire day sliding your worries away, this is definitely our top pick of budget friendly activities. Bonus! 2. A Beach Day – After all, you are on vacation on one of the best islands in the world & spending the day beaching it is absolutely free! Grab a beach bag, a towel & the sunblock & head out to one of the many beaches on Ambergris Caye. Whether you enjoy sunbathing, people watching or swimming in the water, a beach day is a perfect way to spend the day. Bonus! Guests of Pedro’s Hotel have access to 250 feet of one of the prettiest beaches on Ambergris Caye. Simply grab a cold drink & a seat on any beach, balcony or dock & be prepared to watch the sun melt into the horizon. For a price of $0, sunset watching is certainly one of the best things to do on Ambergris Caye.
